Learning ObjectivesThere have been numerous changes to Texas stalking laws during recent legislative sessions. This presentation will provide the latest information about stalking and related crimes and will help practitioners better understand what stalking behaviors look like and their impacts on survivors. Legal protections and resources for survivors will also be addressed.

Allison Kolb

Allison Kolb is a 2012 graduate of Georgetown University Law Center who joined Texas Advocacy Project in July of 2016. Prior to that, she served as a law clerk to Judges Gargotta and Davis of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Texas and as a staff attorney to Justice Bourland of the Third Court of Appeals of the State of Texas. She volunteered for Children at Risk and Texas Civil Rights Project before obtaining her license to practice law in Texas in November of 2012. Ms. Kolb is originally from Pittsburgh and has been living and working in Austin for over a decade. She graduated from Carnegie Melon University with honors in 2007, earning a B.A. in creative writing with a minor in film.
