Description & Objectives

Continuing Education Hours: 1 CE for LPC, SW, LMFT, and Psychologists - NBCC Approved

Description: Incorporating the basic ingredients of breath, movement, play, and touch, Trauma Touch Therapy™ is a unique medium in the art of healing. Entirely body-centric, this modality offers a safe space for the body to tell its story, as client and massage therapist together explore the mystery of sensation. Each breath whispers a story; every movement becomes part of a sacred dance of discovery. Touch becomes not a threat, but an opportunity to inquire of the body: "What is happening here?" Play provides a pathway for the brain and the body to reconnect. Come experience the mystery of sensation with Renée C. Houston, LMT, in an engaging exploration of Trauma Touch Therapy™.

Learning Objectives:

  • Recognize observation as a tool for healing in trauma-informed maternity care.
  • Understand the role of touch in fostering connection and empowerment.
  • Explain the importance of allowing clients to control physical interactions.
  • Differentiate between sensation and emotion as key aspects of healing.
  • Explore Trauma Touch Therapy™ as a bridge between talk therapy and physical healing.
